The last preseason game on Thursday was a bit scared.
Listen to your team news NOW.
Julian Edelman, Demaryius Thomas and Josh Gordon each saw action in the beginning, having not played at all until last season. After Edelman had caught the first drive, he landed hard on the left wrist. The same hand he had broken his thumb in the summer before.
Edelman immediately stepped to the sidelines and removed his glove before reaching out his hand. After talking with head coach Jim Whalen, the receiver seemed to be alright and joked with his teammates, including Tom Brady. For the rest of the game he stayed on the sideline.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, everything should be fine. Edelman did not hurt his thumb again, but landed on his hand, but everything is expected to be alright.
Edelman was not available to reporters after the game.
