Kane Brown delivered a short, emotional and tears-filled speech at the CMT Artists of the Year on Wednesday (October 16), in which he dedicated his award to drummer Kenny Dixon, who died in a car crash October 12th.
Brown accepted the award from Chris Young and then stepped onto the stage, visibly shaken with emotion. Dixon was just 27 years old when he lost his life in a car accident. According to the authorities, neither drugs nor alcohol play a role in the crash. His funeral will take place on October 20th. Brown has postponed his upcoming date in Los Angeles on October 18th.
Brown was one of the five winners of the 2019 CMT event and joined Carrie Underwood, Dan + Shay, Thomas at Rhett and Luke Combs.
