Relationships have ups and downs, and sometimes it’s just “be like this”.
This is the message Kane Brown is sending in his new collaboration with Khalid and Swae Lee that was released on Friday, July 10th. In the song that blends country with infectious pop and hip-hop elements, the artists turn verses off when they talk about someone they love (even if it annoys them sometimes).
“I could be better on my own / I hate it when you blow up my cell phone / I wish I never hit your ass / But sometimes it does,” the hook announces before moving to a more positive light: ” But I ‘I’m not myself on the nights you go / There̵
“It’s about all the different feelings you can have in a relationship,” Brown said of the tune. “And don’t try to think it over. When it gets difficult you want to be alone, but then you miss the person a second later. I think it’s something everyone goes through.”
While “Be Like That” is the country star’s first song with Swae Lee, Brown and Khalid previously worked together on a remix of the single “Saturday Nights”.
