Kanye West is once again arguing for controversy. On Tuesday, the 40-year-old "Power" rappper unveiled the new cover art for Pusha Ts upcoming album DAYTONA – which West produced.
The cover of the new release features a controversial photograph of Whitney Houston's bathroom, secretly taken by a family member in 2006 when the late singer struggled with drug addiction.
And Pusha T has revealed that the picture of West cost a nice penny. 19659005]
Pusha T, 41, appeared on The Angie Martinez Show on Wednesday to promote his album, which came out on Friday, and revealed that West did it with last-minute changes to the cover of the album cover [1
"He chose the photographer, I took these pictures, I thought," Yo, these are fresh ones. "I've selected all these pictures out, he had a little edit how he wanted to look like the actual sorting of the picture. Took the picture, big, we look, boom, boom, boom, it's good."

Despite her approval of the artwork, Pusha T said that everything changed when West called him early in the morning.
"One, my phone is ringing, no caller ID [He says,]" Hey, yes, I think we should change the artwork. And I like this other artwork. And this other work of art is 85 grand, "he recalled.
" I said, "Hey, I do not want to pay that and I would not even ask you to pay for it, we chose what we chose, it is here, it's done, "he continued, adding that West told him," No, that's what people have to see to go with this music, I pay for it. "I say," You my husband, you my husband! "
The" Mercy "rappers said that while the change was a surprise to him, he quickly went to West's idea.
"I love it, I actually love it. [But] I absolutely did not want to pay for it," he said with a laugh.
In 2006, the National Enquirer introduced the photo showing Houston's bathroom filled with drug-covered spoons and drug supplies on its cover.
West is believed to have paid for the photo's licensing, but it's not clear whether he paid Enquirer or Houston's sister-in-law Tina Brown, sister of ex-husband Bobby.
Houston was found dead in a bathtub in 2012 at The Beverly Hilton Hotel. The death of the icon was interpreted as accidental drowning, with heart disease and cocaine being responsible. In August 2012, her autopsy found that she also had marijuana, xanax, benadryl and other medications in her system.
Pusha Ts album will be the first West produced in his Wyoming studio, where he is recording his own album. On Thursday, West thanked the fans on Twitter for their support at DAYTONA tweeting, "Daytona is Wyoming's first project, I'm really proud of what we've done together." "We spent a year and a half looking for samples and writing," he continued. "I appreciate the overwhelmingly positive response we received, 1965."
