After a lackluster first weekend performance, Kid Cudi released the big guns – or a unique pistol – for his set on the second weekend. All of Kanye West's problematic pets were "surprising" at the beginning of the conclusion of the closed Sahara tent set by Cudi. With an opening performance of "Father Stretch My Hands, Pt. 1 "from West's 2016 album" The Life of Pablo "(2016).
Afterwards, West released two more songs from the couple's Kids Sea Ghosts collaboration, including "Reborn" and "Freee (Ghost Town Pt. 2)". plus a rendition of West's own "Ghost Town" over last year's "Ye". He did not even turn to the crowd, which was probably saved for Easter Sunday, where participants wake up at dawn to get good seats. Opening doors at 6am.
The rarely seen rapper was full of energy and paced the black-clad stage to stand out from Cudi's white sweatshirt. He often made jumps across the stage to highlight certain moments during "Freee".
The appearance, although not announced, was not particularly surprising when you consider him and him Cudi's long history of cooperation and the fact that the rapper should be in the neighborhood, was announced a few weeks ago.
Cudi also released a selection of other guest artists, including Ty Dolla Sign for "Freee." and King Chip for "Just What I Am" after West left.
