LOS ANGELES – Before joining his old team for the first time since winning the championship, Kawhi met some of his former Toronto Raptors team-mates and associates.
"Hey, hey, hey," Leonard said with a smile to a Raptor who repeated the phrase that became viral on the opening night when he started to deliver a message to fans before the game.
When they were in the field, the Raptors reminded Leonard how annoying they can be. After he had often caught him halfway and harassed the MVP's final in his worst game of the season so far, [Leonard missed nine] of eleven shots, however, still got the best of his old team and narrowly missed a triple-double with twelve points
Leonard then embraced and greeted several of his former teammates, but made it clear that he was 98: 88 won against the Raptors has moved on from his one special year at Toronto.
"It's over now," Leonard said when asked if he had any feelings during last season's championship run. "We've won, like I said, I had a great time there, but it's the next chapter."
"I can not live in the past or be so excited that I've won [a championship] , I'm with another team and unit, and they want the same feeling, and so do I. I'm a clipper right now.
The Raptors did everything they could to take Leonard out of the game, in fact, they nearly forced Leonard to a quadruple duel with nine career-high sales.
The Raptors led at the start of the fourth quarter at 79-75, when Leonard missed nine of his first ten shots because of their traps and the length of the balls last quarter.
Nevertheless, Leonard has found a way to make profitable games in the fourth for the Clippers (7-3) and he immediately added two free throws to help the Clippers complete a 15-5 run. When Toronto was late at four, Leonard Montrezl Harrell found himself plunging before sealing the game with two free throws. "[made] Tonight I have better, "said Leonard I went over half the place, they tried to get the ball out of my hands and sent an additional defender. It will be [my teammate] [make] [Opponents are] There will be intermittent playoffs and regular seasons and they will overturn the open shot. That's what wins games: open shots.
"We took the win and they did a great job for me tonight … but I'm glad they did, I'm better, and my teammates are also good for [make] better. "
Despite only having one season together, Toronto head coach Nick Nurse has recently contacted Leonard via FaceTiming for his former star and reviewed his family. "We had a son at a similar time," said Nurse. "… just watching from afar … He looks happy, and his family is happy, and that's all you can ask for." about any conversation with Leonard during the game. "That's it, I do not talk much out there, he's not fucking talking."
Leonard was glad that the end result made the talk. "It was fun," he said. "It's even better to come out with a win, my teammates shot, it was not one of those nights for me."
"He added," From this point of view, it's a bit more competitive because you talk to them. So you can tell them that we won the game this evening. But I do not come from the team character. We have a goal for us to come out. "And win as a whole."
