Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford's wife Kelly Stafford returned to the hospital to stay overnight after she had tried to tone down the steroids after her brain tumor operation last week, but eventually decided for help.
"I was so wrong, the pain was so far that I could not settle anything," Stafford wrote in the post. "Including medication, I landed in the ER very early this morning, had steroids and painkillers again, at first I felt like I had failed as if I could not handle it, but what I really failed was listening to my own body.
"A lesson that I think I need to keep reminding myself of."
