Former Buffalo Bills recipient, Kelvin Benjamin, signs with the Kansas City Chiefs, a source opposite Adam Schefter of ESPN.
The deal is for a year, says the source. 19659002] The Chiefs, who have recently released one of their offensive threats in the run of Kareem Hunt and have another broad recipient Sammy Watkins, limited by a sore foot, hope that Benjamin can help fill the void, was released earlier this week by the Bills and released on Wednesday from waivers. He scored 23 passes for 354 yards and a touchdown in 12 games for the bills this season.
Benjamin's best season came in 2014 for the Carolina Panthers, who designed him in the first round this year. Benjamin had 73 passes with nine touchdowns as a freshman.
Benjamin missed all year 201
The Chiefs released Hunt last week after a video of him appeared when he pushed and kicked a woman. Watkins has missed two of the last three games because of a sore foot. Watkins has limited training on both days this week.
The Chiefs have deployed Chris Conley and Demarcus Robinson in Watkins' absence. Benjamin could challenge her for the season later in the season, especially if Watkin's absence persists.
