Energy Partner moves to Pinsent Masons in South Africa



With over 20 years of experience Lloyd Chater is a partner of Pinsent Masons in Johannesburg, where he will work across the African continent with a focus on mergers and acquisitions (M & A ), which deal with equity capital markets as well as infrastructure and energy assets.

Chater joins the company from Bowmans where he worked for almost two decades, where he was responsible for leading the cross-practice group offering in the construction sector. He also represented multinational and local companies on mergers and acquisitions, tenders, joint ventures, facility management service contracts and infrastructure and mining development projects. In particular, Chater led a team that advised the South African Satellite Television Channel About Digital Media on all aspects of StarSat's broadcasting business.

At Pinsent Masons, Chater will focus on construction projects, acquisitions, and supply and service contracts.
