On Saturday, elections to the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) took place in a total of 21 counties, with over 170 candidates fighting for various positions.
However, the elections were controversial in some counties, including Narok and Kisii.
In Nairobi, the former FKF West Secretary of Nairobi, Caleb Malweyi, was elected chairman of the Nairobi branch after winning the elections on the Ligi Ndogo site.
Malweyi received 53 of 66 votes cast against his opponent Charles Njoroge, who received 3 votes.

In the county of Kisii, Jezerel Mbegera was elected as the new chairman of the branch after receiving 10 out of 16 votes against Yabesh Mose got 6.
Evans Mageka was elected Secretary General with 9 votes, defeating his opponent Thomas Masente, who received 7 votes.
In Narok County, Peter Karino was elected chairman while Elias Musunkui won the secretary’s seat.

The national polls are expected to take place on the 17thth next month in Nairobi.
