Amir Khan believes that the boxers have lost interest in a possible national showdown with former world champion Kell Brook.
The fans have been waiting for this fight for several years.
Brook has been inactive since his win A harsher decision than expected over Michael Zerafa last December. He was to fight against Andy Ruiz under Anthony Joshua's sub-map last month, but retired from the map.
The fight seemed to be within reach in 2018, when Khan signed an all-around deal with Eddie Hearn, who also works with Brook.
Hearn designed a plan in which both boxers would experience at least two bouts in 201
But Khan chose Brooks for a pass and instead challenged WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford.
Khan lost by TKO in six rounds against Crawford, but came back earlier this month with a defeat of the under-sized opponent Billy Dib.
Now Khan turns his attention to a possible clash with WBA champion Manny Pacquiao, who captured Keith Thurman's belt last Saturday.
He believes that the fight with Pacquiao is now a much bigger event compared to a bad luck game with Brook.
"I do not think there is more [the appetite for the Brook fight]. Normally I would walk through the streets and people would talk about this fight, but now people are not talking about it, they are talking about fighting Manny Pacquiao, "Khan said to The Evening Standard.
" People are interested lost in this fight against Brook. There are rumors he's retired, he's not retired, I do not know what he's doing with his career to be honest with you – I'm ready to let it happen, me. "" I do not care. "
