Kim Kardashian reveals other names she took for Chicago



Kim Kardashian West played the name game before turning to her three-month-old daughter, Chicago.

The 37-year-old reality star revealed some of the alternate names that she and her husband Kanye West took into account for her third child, born January 15, [TheEllenDeGeneresShow.

"We wanted to call her Jo because my grandmother, Mary Jo. Or we wanted to go with Grace – and then it was Chicago," she said with a shrug. "We landed with Chicago."

Another nickname in the race was Donda, the name of the deceased mother of the 40-year-old rapper.

"He really wanted his mother's name, and I love that name too, but I was not sure," said Kardashian West. "It's so much to fulfill."

Eventually her daughter was named after West's hometown ̵

But there is one thing about Chicago that bothers the star of the Kardashians : she really wanted a monosyllabic name for the baby, just like the 4-year-old daughter North and the 2-year-old son Saint.

"It's something to do with me, I will not lie," Kardashian admitted to West. "I really like the monosyllable thing."

The solution? They call the little girl "Chi" – pronounced "timid."
