It seems almost inevitable that Kyrie Irving's time with the Boston Celtics is over, but the Star Point Guard is far from teasing Celtics fans on the Internet.
Irving has terminated the last contract year with the Cs and will be released this summer as a free agent. There were rumors of where Irving might end up, and more and more details about Irving's rocky stay in Boston are becoming known.
And although Irving has not "spooked" the Celtics as it was reported, he definitely does not seem to be the biggest fan of Boston in general.
But all this leads us to Irving's latest Instagram post on Sunday. The guard released a photo of himself on vacation in Japan entitled, "Ego has no room between you and me. We are one! I am."
As you can imagine, the comments are full of angry (and confused) Celtics fans.
Irving has always played a rather mysterious and questionable role in social media and the press. But you can not blame Celtics fans for laughing at the irony of this caption. It has been reported that in the Celtics locker room there was a pretty big gap between Irving and some other players. Irving also said that in the regular season the Celtics would be ok in the playoffs just because he was there.
It's also the same guy who specializes in flat-bottom tangents (of which Grant Williams, essentially the anti-Kyrie, was not a fan).
Head scraper in fact.
Chalk this way that Kyrie is probably Kyrie.
