LeBron James, star of the Los Angeles Lakers, will be number 23 for another season.

According to Yahoo Sports 'Chris Haynes, James' plan to pass on his number to new teammate Anthony Davis was not matched by Nike's " production problems and massive financial success" suffered by the company Approved the amount of No. 23 James jerseys that had already been produced.

Haynes noted that the NBA has a deadline of March 1

5, within which teams can officially inquire about players who change jersey numbers. The league was ready to allow the change if the Lakers could negotiate a deal with Nike.

When the Lakers officially acquired Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans, James posted a picture on Instagram with his new teammate holding a Los Angeles # 23 jersey.

Sources Report Haynes James has done everything to make Davis feel "as comfortable as possible" in his new environment.

James later tweeted number 6 with a prayer sheet emoji, stating that he could return to the jersey number he wore during his four seasons at the Miami Heat: 2019-20 season. The six-time All-Star has used the No. 23 from his time at Perspectives Charter Schools-Joselin, which pulled out his jersey in 2013.
