Lauryn Hill Details & # 39; Misecation & # 39; 20th Anniversary Tour

Lauryn Hill will begin a North American tour this summer to celebrate the 20th anniversary of her first and only studio album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill .

The trek consists of two legs, the first of which will be launched on July 5 at the veteran United Home Loan Amphitheater in Virginia Beach, Virginia and will be held on August 8 at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, New Jersey. On September 7, Hill starts her second run at the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. This leg includes the 5th of October in the Chaifetz Arena in St. Louis.

Tickets for most shows will be sold on April 20 at 10 o'clock local time. Various pre-sales will take place this afternoon, April 17. For complete information, contact Ticketmaster.

After releasing two albums with the Fugees, Hill began a solo career and released The Maceducation of Lauryn Hill in 1998. The record debuted at Number One on the basis of his chart-topping lead single. "Doo Wop." Over the last two decades, the record has been recognized as a genre-joining modern classic of hip-hop and R & B.

Hill has not released another album since Miseducation and the last 20 years of her career have been marked by occasional touring and self-imposed exiles. In 2013, Hill served a three-month sentence for tax evasion, but since her release she has started to play more often. Last year she joined forces with Nas on a North American trek. Last weekend, she honored Nina Simone at the launch ceremony of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland
