Lenovo makes a phone without mount and it is believed to launch on June 5th. The Lenovo Z5 has been teased for a few weeks, and Lenovo says the device will offer a true display without bezel.
Lenovo Group Vice President Chang Cheng announced on the Chinese social media website Weibo (via PlayfulDroid) that the Lenovo Z5 will launch in Beijing China on June 5. Cheng posted the invitation for the event and he also said that the Z5 would be a successor to the ZUK phone series. It is possible that the handset is actually called the Lenovo ZUK Z5, according to the Android Authority.
Cheng was the one who annoys the Lenovo Z5 in the last few weeks. Earlier this month, he announced a sketch of the Z5, which showed that the device will have a real display without a frame. Cheng also said that the Lenovo Z5 will show four technological breakthroughs based on 18 patented technologies. Although no official announcements have yet been made, Cheng said the Lenovo Z5 will break the 95 percent screen-to-body ratio by delivering a true full-screen smartphone with virtually no side panel glare.
Cheng also pointed out earlier that the upcoming handset can offer up to 4 TB of storage space. However, it was not clear whether it was internal storage or cloud storage. Phone Arena pointed out that it's a bit hard to believe that a smartphone could have that much internal memory. The Lenovo Z5 also has impressive battery technology that allows for a standby time of 45 days. As far as the internal specifications are concerned, that is still in the air at the time. The Lenovo Z5 is said to be a flagship smartphone, and if that's true, then it would not be surprising if powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor.
With the Z5, it seems as though Lenovo would try the headlights from Apple and other Android phone manufacturers that offer a device with a genuine frame without a notch. The only other company that tries this is Vivo with its Vivo Apex smartphone. The Vivo Apex smartphone not only has an all-screen design, but also a hinged front camera. The Vivo Apex phone is expected to be announced on June 12 in Shanghai, China,
