Lil Wayne says he could not perform in Blink 1
82 in St. Louis because he was thrown out of his hotel and the cops flocked – but we learned that this story has two sides.
Wayne tweeted on Saturday morning about the crappy news and said he could not play the show tonight at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheater – where he was to go on stage with B -182 and Neck Deep – because of some BS at his Ritz Carlton.
He said, "I'm sorry that I'm not doing the show tonight in St. Lou, kuz, I was just out of the race and I'm invaded, so I'm going to slide. You kicked me out of here It's all luv tho. "
While Wayne claims to have been booted by the institution, Mark Smith tells TMZ that Weezy and his crew have NOT been asked to leave … and that they have voluntarily left after a verbal dispute with the hotel staff.
Smith says the police were called to the Ritz at 10:00 am CT because of a "disruption" in the lobby involving several men, some of whom, we learn, also included Wayne's retinue. An answering officer was told that he saw a man in LW's security department shouting at a clerk behind the desk.
The officers were told that they spoke with several witnesses – including staff – who told the police they had received several complaints. Marijuana smells from Weezy's room. Cops say the staff allegedly called Wayne's room and asked him to open the balcony doors to relieve the smell … and he was supposed to be angry and come down to confront them.
Smith informed us that the hotel staff did not file a complaint to the police for evidence of a crime that had been committed was. As a result nobody was detained.
Well, sources near Weezy tell TMZ that the reason why he and his team faced the staff had nothing to do with weeds … and everything that had to do with bad protocol. We were told that the receptionist was relaying calls from an obsessed fan who apparently knew Wayne was living there and in what exact room. Instead of keeping her from smelling, our Weezy sources said the staff kept sending the call to his room, which infuriated him.
We contacted the Ritz Carlton to comment on the allegation of fan forwarding. … not a word back yet.
Whatever the real reason … it's clear Wayne is not feeling well in St. Louis. This would mark at least the third show, in which he has gone completely out of hand for his Blink 182 appearances this summer.
