Lizzie McGuire is back: The Disney Channel hit revives at Disney +, and Hilary Duff returns as the star character as our sister site Deadline reports.
Duff plays a The now 30-year-old Lizzie, who makes a living in New York City. The series will also bring back the animated Lizzie from the original, which expresses the innermost feelings and fears of human Lizzie. The original creator Terri Minsky will also return to produce the new series. (The original Lizzie McGuire ran on the Disney Channel from 2001 to 2004 and released a feature film in 2003.)
Lizzie McGuire joins a growing series of Disney + original series, including Star Wars Spin-off The Mandalorian and Marvel series with Loki and Hawkeye. The new streaming service, which costs $ 6.99 a month and also includes library content from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and others, will launch on Tuesday, November 1
Duff is currently seen as a book publisher on Kelsey Peters starring on the land comedy Jünger which was extended for a seventh season last month – however, Deadline reports that Disney + and TV Land have worked out a deal can occur with the Duff in both series.
