Reduction of corporate tax rate leads to lower annual financial statements of Black Hills Energy
The 2017 Tax and Employment Act will benefit the energy market in Kansas and Black Hills Energy's customers will receive an annual $ 11 rebate on their energy bills.
This is the result of a total cost savings of $ 1
"The Tax and Employment Act reduced the amount of corporation tax our company pays and we pass these savings on to our customers." Jerry Watkins, General Manager of Kansas Natural Gas Activities, said. "We appreciate that KCC is working with us to quickly provide our customers with the benefits of changing corporate tax rates in their energy bills, and we will continue to work to deliver safe and affordable energy to Kansan."
The federal changes were reduced the corporate tax rate from 35 percent to 21 percent. Kansas customers will see the changes from April.
