INGLEWOOD, California – Two policemen were wounded and one suspect was killed after police responded Wednesday to reports of a man with a sword in the Church of Scientology in Inglewood, California.
The suspect was shot in the head and died in a hospital, Inglewood police officer Oscar Mejia told reporters at the scene. He was not identified immediately.
Shooting fire broke off at 15:30. After the police had been in the main entrance of the church, the police approached the man who was wearing a hoodie and wore the sword, officials said.
One officer was hit in one hand and the other was hit in one arm, officials said. They were hospitalized in good condition with no life-threatening injuries, said police chief Mark Fronterotta. Both officers are in their late twenties, said the boss.

Officials did not say who shot first or whether a weapon was recovered from the suspect.
Inglewood is a city of about 100,000 inhabitants, about 16 kilometers away. southwest of downtown Los Angeles.
