This is one of the coolest things in sports
I never tire of seeing a stadium full of people to sing the national anthem.
After the tragic van attack in Toronto yesterday, the Maple Leafs held a moment of silence before their game 6 against the Bruins, followed by the anthem. The singer deserves great props to realize that the crowd was ready to take over and just stay out of the way.
It's always encouraging to see that this has happened after a tragedy, like Bruin's fans following the bombing of the Boston Marathon or hockey fans across Canada after shooting Parliament Hill.
Hockey fans always do that and not only after terrorist attacks. Devils fans did it after a technical breakdown last season, and Penguins fans did so before Game 5 of last year's Stanley Cup final, just to name a few examples. Canadians can even sing the US anthem when they need it, as fans showed in Toronto in 201
Gronkowski about the injury report
Gronkowski the horse, that is.
The horse was scheduled for Kentucky Derby on May 5, but had to resign on Monday for "mild infection".
Gronkowski, the man who was no stranger to landing on the shelf, offered some encouragement to his equine namesake.
At least there is the Preakness and Belmont.
This is a strange Mike Francesa interview
The famous WFAN radio host Mike Francesa has not been broadcast since December 15th. After exploring a variety of airfields, Francesca tells Newsday will probably be back soon at WFAN. That's not so interesting. The interesting part is Mike, who claims that there is some sort of conspiracy on the station to keep him out.
"This is for those who started this campaign in the last few days, so I decided not to return to WFAN until I was told I should not go back, for those who stood behind it was the moment where I decided to return. "
