A marine veterinarian working as a FedEx driver in Maryland was caught beyond his job description.
When the unknown man saw that a flagpole with an American flag had fallen into Gail Cook's front yard, he took time to fold it and place it safely on the porch, as WBAL-TV 11 reports. He even folded a flag from Baltimore Ravens, which had also fallen.
Cook told WBAL-TV 11 that she could contact the driver after seeing his friendly act on her surveillance camera. He said he "only did what was right," Cook told the local news channel.
The label of the American flag dictates that the flag should never touch the ground, but Cook's flagpole seemed to have fallen in the wind. A veteran, the FedEx driver knew the right way to fold an American flag and left both flags neatly on a chair on Cook's porch.
People found the video pretty heartwarming, pointing out that the driver was showing real integrity.
