Square Enix finally gave the world a glimpse of its upcoming Avengers game (entitled Marvel's Avengers) at the E3 in 2019, and probably did not get the full response from the internet that might have pleased him. The game does not show the similarities of Marvel Cinematic Universe actors that fans have grown accustomed to over the last decade, and this has led to their character designs being negatively impacted on social media.
The unveiling was the last thing shown during Square's press conference at the E3 in 2019, eventually showing some of the game Crystal Dynamics and Eidos are working on. Despite taking a long look at Avengers, things are still pretty cryptic: although it seems to be a third-person action game, it's not very clear how it's played. We know that this is an original Avengers story (just as Insomniac's latest game, Marvel's Spider-Man, has been separated from the existing storylines). And it seems that Captain America buys it at the beginning of the game, with the story picked up five years later, after they have dissolved, in response to the blame for destroying much of San Francisco.
