Batman Writer Tom King announced that he views the comic Batman: Mask of the Phantasm as a canon in his upcoming DC Comics miniseries. Widely regarded as the best Batman film of all time, Mask of the Phantasm created a minimal stir at the box office, but has become a fan favorite in the years since its release.
The basic assumption was reversed by Batman: Year Two in which Batman opposed Gotham's original vigilante, The Reaper. The animated series invented this character as & # 39; The Phantom & # 39; new, a hooded reaper resisting some of Gotham's hoods, and their methods left much to be desired. Eventually it turned out that she was Andrea Beaumont, Bruce Wayne's first lover, a woman who tempted him to abandon the Batman mission early in his career. Unfortunately, Andreas's family has dealt with organized crime, forcing them to abandon their engagement to Bruce Wayne and leave Gotham, returning years later with a grudge.

Now Batman's writer Tom King brings the phantasm to the comics for the first time. King has confirmed at Twitter that he views the comics history of the phantasm as a crude mirror of the plot of Batman: Mask of the Phantasm . Which is bad news for the & # 39; Happy End & # 39; fans they were hoping for in the new mini-series Batman / Catwoman …
Joker's story of origin was in the '90s Years of The Last Cry, and Batman: Mask of the Phantasm was no exception and wrote the clown Prince of Crime in the genesis of the Phantasm. He was originally one of the fools Andreas's father had dealt with in those early days before he ever became a joker. As such, he became one of the Phantasm's goals when she returned to Gotham City. It was as horrible as most would expect, as the phantasm was overwhelmed when it tried to turn off the joker.
The most important addition that made the movie Batman Canon was that the Dark Knight once fell in love. He fell so low that he asked permission to let her go at the graves of his parents. Do not cling to his grief and anger, but treat yourself to a happy life with Andrea. The very fact that he has approached the choice of a married life in the course of his alertness career is enormous. It's also a mirror of Batman's and Catwoman's own bow in Kings Run. Catwoman broke off her own engagement with Batman because she feared he would not be the Dark Knight if he was ever really happy to love again. Batman and Catwoman have reunited – but it looks like they are facing a very personal new threat, a woman who can mess with Batman's head like no other enemy can.
