The House Financial Services Committee, Representative Representative Maxine Waters, D-Calif., Presents a question to the Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ben Carson, at a hearing on June 27, 201
Rep. Maxine Waters said that those who want to harm her prefer to "shoot straight because there is nothing like a wounded animal."
Californian Democrat comments at a Saturday rally in Los Angeles against President Donald Trump's immigration policy had to cancel this weekend due to death threats in Alabama and Texas.
These threats came after she admonished opponents of Trump's immigration policy to confront and harass Cabinet members wherever possible.
"You already have members of your Cabinet booed out of restaurants," she said last weekend in speeches to the president.
Waters, who had repeatedly called for Trump's impeachment, evidently hinted at an incident last week in which the Department of Homeland Security Kirstenen Nielsen was confronted by demonstrators in a high-end Mexican restaurant in Washington
Also, White's spokeswoman said House, Sarah Huckabee Sanders, that the owner of a restaurant in Virginia asked her to go Friday night because of her connection with Trump.
Trump warned Rep. Maxine Waters on Monday, "Be careful what you want," after the Californian Democrat asked activists to confront the White House officials over their immigration policy.
"Congressman Maxine Waters, a person of exceptionally low IQ, has become the face of the Democratic Party along with Nancy Pelosi," Trump tweeted. "She has just injured the supporters, of whom there are many, in the" Make America Great Again. "Be careful what you wish for Max!"
This is not the first time that Waters has suggested that people shoot at them should have a good goal.
At a town hall meeting in Ingelwood, Waters criticized Trump's former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn last year when she heard a pop.
"I do not know what the sound was". she told the crowd without flinching. "But whoever it is, if it's a shot, better shoot straight!" Read or Share this story: https://usat.ly/2KD5dtB
