CHICO, Calif. – "The most recent case of the measles – a Chico State student."
"It's definitely scary cause, because it's a tightly packed dorm, it's just a lot easier." Mackenzie Champion said.
Chico State Officials said the student is no longer on campus and is being treated.
Student Health Center's Clinical Administrator, Jill Cannady, said students have been very proactive in staying safe and healthy.  "Some of them have said they have not been vaccinated as children and they wanted to do it," Cannady said.

Concerned freshman Kenny Burzo said: "The University is immediately."
"We got emails about it on the 24 and 25 theres an outbreak on the shuttle and UV they wouldnt tell us who they were but when they were contaminated "Burzo said."
Burzo lives in the dorm where measles is traced back to.
"I was a little nervous not gonna cause I was at the same place and I did have a cough and wasnt "Burzo said."
Cannady encourages students to be aware of how they feel.
But our message to students have really been to call us if they think they might have it so we can not riage them over the phone and they're safely at home and not intermingling with other people on campus, "Cannady said.
