With a power-point presentation designed to illustrate the intricacies of Medicare, Keith Hanson of Minot will address one of the greatest concerns of seniors today. Hanson is a featured moderator for the first annual Minot Daily News Senior Expo and is certainly well received as his message is important to all who are or will soon be Medicare eligible.
"I will introduce the basics of Medicare What Part A is and what it costs, Part B and other levels too." Hanson said. "I will not represent a specific insurance company, but provide important information."
Hanson will list several Medicare enrollment periods that address issues such as costs and penalties and explain how different products work for seniors] "Even those who sign up are already wondering if they did it right," he said Hanson. "I explain what the cost of different plans is and how they can vary."
Hanson emphasizes that "one size does not fit all" when it comes to Medicare when it comes to prescription drugs.
"It's very precise" Hanson explained. "You have to have the right plan first, there are costs out of the bag, and plans that fit some seniors much better than others. There are 25 different drug plans in the Minot area."
As an example, Hanson said He advised a person one way to save $ 3,000 a year on prescription drugs.
"He listened to friends who talk about their good plan, which was a good plan if you take the same drugs," Hanson explained. "I really care, I've seen seniors in bad situations, I'll refer people to the right company, even if I do not get any commission."
The Medicare annual election period is October 1
Hanson emphasized that although he is an independent health insurance broker, he will not share specific insurance plan information at this event.
