To prevent drug combinations that can lead to side effects such as dizziness, dizziness and confusion, the state will offer free, confidential medicine reviews for older adults in more than 400 Ohio pharmacies next week.
The goal is to minimize the risk of dangerous falls, according to a press release from the Ohio Department of Aging
The program is for the 1-7. April scheduled. Dates and times vary by location.
Participating pharmacies include all sites of Walgreens Pharmacy and Kroger Pharmacy in Ohio and several others, including local businesses.
Pharmacists review drug use and identify combinations that could potentially be problematic. They will then provide a list of their results to the participants to discuss with their health care providers to determine their options.
The program is coordinated in partnership with the Ohio Pharmacists Association and the Colleges of Pharmacy throughout the state. [1
