Meghan Markle did not just want to be another pretty face on a billboard or another LA young girl striving to become an actress. She had much bigger goals than that. During her studies, she completed a double degree in theater and international relations to make sure she is on the rise in the industry. Getting her last role as a member of the royal family is definitely more than she would ever dream of.
Meghan Markle dreamed of becoming an actress
Markle could not avoid being an actress. She grew up in LA and is the daughter of Thomas Markle, who worked as a light director in the sitcom Married With Children . Since her father spent a lot of time on the set, so did the young Meghan. She was confronted early on what life as an actress would look like.
In 2011, a dream came true with the inclusion of a role in Suits . She immediately moved to Toronto to shoot the series, and she lived there until she moved to Prince Harry.
But Markle wanted to be much more than just another pretty face.
Meghan tells Marie Claire that she was always a bit nerf, and although she was keen to pursue acting, she did not want to be a cliché.
"I've always been the theater nerd at Northwestern University." She admits. "I knew I wanted to do acting, but I hated the idea of being that cliché – a girl from LA who decides to become an actress. I wanted more than that, and I had always loved politics, and so I changed my major completely and did the double thing theater and international relations. "
The double subject not only employed her during school, but was also unknown to her. Meghan at that time would later prove to be very useful. Her background in international relations is now extremely helpful as she travels around the world with her royal husband.
"By the time of my first year, I had used up most of my credits and applied for an internship at the US Embassy," she continues. "… so I worked for a few months at the embassy in Buenos Aires." Her experience in the embassy is likely to be of great help to her, as she is ambassador to the Queen.
Although she joined a sisterhood, which seems pretty clichéd to us … Meghan was not influenced by her pursuit of acting or her beauty.
Meghan Markle has mind and beauty Her time at the Embassy helped her with her role in suits . It has definitely helped her concentrate her energies on situations and issues beyond her normal life, which has helped her penetrate deeper into her character Rachel.
"I will say that the work rooted in the message is my achievement for [Suits] in other ways. I love the intelligence written in Rachel. Look, my very first audition was for "Hot Girl # 1" in a movie. For me, the best thing is that the writers can say, 'Yeah, you can be a pretty girl, but she has so much more to offer. "
Meghan has so much more to offer, and all the inspirers prove the work she has done since joining the royal family.
Markle's latest role is more than expected.
The marrying Prince Harry transformed Meghan's fame into more than she had ever expected. As a member of one of the most respected families in the world, Meghan is definitely more than just another Hollywood favorite.
