Meghan Markle's Headdress on Her Big Day May Not Be the Traditional Diamond Tiara
The "Suits" actress is said to be wearing a tiara at her royal wedding to Prince Harry. But instead of going with tradition, she might instead reinvent a headgear for the occasion.
"I do not think it will be a traditional diamond tiara, but it could be bestowed by the Queen," Leslie Field, author of "The Queen's Jewels: The Personal Collection of Elizabeth II," said People , "My feeling is that Meghan and Harry have a new way to work."
"It's not going to be a traditional headdress, so it's a diamond tiara, maybe it's a headgear unlike a tiara, it could be its American heritage and could be made with fabric flowers studded with fake jewels," Field continued.
Aside from Field, Eva Hartling, Vice President of Markle's favorite jewelery brand, Maison Birks, believes the actress will remain "I'm sure she'll choose something that fits her style and I'm sure it will refined and elegant, "said Hartling. "It will probably include a simple pair of earrings that will bring out their natural beauty, they will not exaggerate."
Aside from the choice of low-profile jewelry or headdress, her wedding dress is likely to be simpler than Kate Middleton's when she knelt with Prince William in 201
"Kate Middleton's gown cost £ 150,000, and her parents, Carol and Michael Middleton, paid for it, and I think that was very unlikely that Meghan would spend more, putting a future queen in the limelight," said royal biographer Katie Nicholl.
Markle's wedding dress is said to include a lace dress with sleeves. In addition, the author thinks "Harry: life, loss and love" that it will be perfect for the event.
"I think you'll probably be pleasantly surprised that Meghan is the 'rule-breaker' when it comes to gowning," added Nicholl. "I think it will tick the right boxes: traditional, elegant, sophisticated, memorable and fitting."
Prince Harry and Markle will tie the knot on May 19 at Windsor Castle's St. George Chapel. The wedding starts at 12 o'clock. British time (7 am EST). After that the couple goes to the carriage procession.
