Following the event, the royal couple, who announced on Monday that they are expecting their first child, visited the Mission Australia social enterprise restaurant Charcoal Lane during the third day of their royal tour Down Under.

In the kitchen, Chef Greg Hampton's couple heard the restaurant give young indigenous people who need guidance and opportunity a fresh start in life. They were then invited to a cooking demonstration that featured local Australian food where Meghan and Harry could taste herbs.

Cooking The event was right in the alley of the Duchess of Sussex!

Meghan held her first lunch in the palace last month to bring out a special cookbook she was involved in creating. She wrote the Foreword for Together: Our Community Cookbook which contains recipes from a group of women whose community was affected by the Grenfell Tower fire, in which more than 70 people died.

Accompanied by Prince Harry and her mother, Doria Ragland, Meghan helped make chapatis and turned koftas on a grill under a large tent on the grounds of Kensington Palace. In a speech to guests, she said that the project was an "enormous work of love".
