Meteor may rip through the night sky of N.J., while a bright fireball is reported on the east coast



Hundreds of people in New Jersey and on the East Coast reported seeing a seemingly meteor-like sky late Tuesday night.

The American Meteor Society claimed to have received 325 reports from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, North Carolina, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Virginia, and Vermont about a bright fireball that occurred just before 11pm the horizon shoots.

Several people in Egg Harbor Township said they had seen a bright flash of sky. Residents of the Maya district reported from homes that the meteor trembled in passing.

In addition, 45 people in Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and Denmark said they had seen something similar.

Many people recorded video footage of the potential meteor.

Reports of a meteor also came from Brazil.
