The Mets exchanged the infielder Asdrubal Cabrera on Friday against the Philadelphia Phillies, Andy Martino of SNY.tv said.
In return, the Mets acquired the 23-year-old RHP Franklyn Kilome which is ranked by MLB.com as the No. 10 Phillies.
Cabrera, 32, hit 277 this season with 18 home runs and 58 RBIs in 98 games. He is in the final year of a three-year contract of $ 24.75 million.

Kilome is 4-6 with a 4.24 ERA with Double-A Reading this season. Kilome has a 70-degree fastball, a 55-degree curveball and a 45-degree rebuild in his repertoire, according to MLB.com, and projects as a person who could reach the majors' goal next season.
"Purely material, Kilome is as good as virtually every potential candidate in the system, with a fastball that touches the top 90s, combined with a curve that often flashes plus," MLB. com writes. "His move has improved and it could eventually develop into an average third pitch, a bit softer to disrupt the timing of the clubs, and he's generally in the strike zone, although his command was patchy as he still learns all its 6-foot-6 frames synchronously. "
It's the first time the Mets have traded with the Phillies since July 27, 2001, when they Turk Wendell and Dennis Cook for Bruce Chen and Adam Walker .
