A man at Miami International Airport was arrested early Monday morning after trying to force himself into an airplane. American Airlines reported to CBS Miami that a passenger with a ticket on the jet bridge passed by the gate agent and boarding Flight 1060 from Miami to Newark carried custody in the terminal after being removed from the plane and posted on his Twitter account was posted.
"This guy ran on the flight and started screaming that it was his plane and that he was from the FBI," said Ari Teman CBS Miami. "And everyone stood up to watch and they blocked the corridor, and then they called for safety and he was dragged off the plane."
The man was imprisoned under the Baker Act for 72 hours in a mental institution if they meet certain criteria , The man was taken to the Jackson Memorial Hospital for medical examination.
After his arrest, everyone was taken off the plane. The aircraft was subjected to a security check before passengers were allowed to re-board.
The plane took off at 10:17, about three and a half hours later than planned.
