Kevin Durant is unlikely to appear in the NBA game this season. The last time he did it, he tore himself into Achilles, one of the most serious injuries basketball players could fully recover from.
The person Durant was defending in the game he was injured in was none other than Toronto's Serge Ibaka, who previously played alongside the two-time final MVP when both were members of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
The two former teammates recently met for the latest episode of Ibakas Bleacher's report show, "How Hungry Are You?" and Durant confessed What was going through his mind the moment Achilles turned out.
"I felt like my whole basketball life would flash before my eyes," Durant told Ibaka. "I thought about everything I did when I played for the first time, which was the first time I'd seen this happen in the field."
"I think it's got me a bit That's because I thought, "Man, I've been through everything and that's something else I have to overcome, so let me get my ass up, go into the locker room and find out what's coming next . " 1
"When you turn me off, I thought first:" Why would you switch off Serge? "Durant asked with a laugh," Even though I limped a bit, this is a bucket. "That's what I thought."
"And it's crazy how fast your mind changes, because in the next second it was like I was down and thinking about my entire basketball career. It happened so fast and once I returned to the back and realized what had happened. I just thought, 'Okay, man, let me find out … when can I get an operation? "
" I was just trying to move on to the next step so fast and not too much thinking about it. "
