A new patent shows that Microsoft is working on a new Xbox controller type. The company seems to be inspired by Nintendo and its new Joy-Con controllers. Specifically, Microsoft has filed a patent application for new removable game controllers to be used for mobile devices, and is believed to be accompanying the Xbox Project xCloud initiative, which aims to stream streaming games to a variety of devices.
discovered by Windows Latest – filed in 2017 with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, but released on July 9, 2019. Accompanying the patent are numerous illustrations to see how the controller – approximately – will proceed. – Look like Microsoft will ever bring the product to market.
As you know, these are patents companies like Microsoft are dropping them all the time. Sometimes something comes from them, sometimes nothing.
