Microsoft is expected to begin rollout of the next major update for Windows 10, the update for May 2019, later this month. It has been testing the update with Insiders in the Release Preview ring for some weeks now and has already released two quality updates for the update.
Immediately before the impending launch of the update, Microsoft has announced the third quality update for the May 2019 update to Insiders in the Release Preview and Slow Rings. The release is pretty weird as Microsoft usually does not release updates over a weekend, but here we are.
Update KB4505057 extends the May 2019 update to Build 18362.116 and contains only 2 fixes:
- Fixes a problem that may prevent access to some gov.uk sites from HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) Do not support using Internet Explorer 11 or Microsoft Edge.
- Fixes a problem where the installation might fail. "0x800f081f – CBS_E_SOURCE_MISSING.
There seems to be no known issues for the build. So if you want to keep the next major release of Windows 10 ahead of everyone else, you probably will not have much to do. Worry when you install it on your main computer. Microsoft is expected to begin publishing the update later this month. So take care. The update will be introduced in different phases. So do not expect it to be available on your device the first day.
