Opposition Attorney Miguna Miguna spent Monday night at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) after Emirates pilots refused to fly him back to Dubai as an enemy passenger.
The immigration authorities had not evacuated him despite his Emirates flight EK19, which landed at JKIA at 2.30 pm
Immigration officials reportedly demanded the Canadian passport of Miguna, which he rejected. Routine procedures for travelers require that a foreign citizen obtain a visa in a country. The country then has the freedom to grant or deny access to the traveler.
The fiery lawyer denied the government's move to relocate him to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates. He claimed he was not born in this country and have no relatives there.
His lawyers have sworn to go to court.
