With WFAN host Mike Francesa retiring on Friday, here are some of his epic rumors over the years.

Legendary New York sports talk host Mike Francesa seems to be planning a comeback four months after his retirement

Tuesday morning Francesa Newsday said: "It's time to return to WFAN."

Francesa, whose last show took place on December 15, told the newspaper that he had worked with the sports and entertainment agency CAA on a project involving WFAN

"I'll do everything I can to WFAN to make the project an integral part, "he said Newsday .

Francesa's possible return was first reported by The New York Post on Monday. He was replaced by Chris Carlin, Maggie Gray and Bart Scott for the afternoon time slot.

Francesa added that the project will be declared "in the next few days".
