Jade Glab of Belmar was crowned on Saturday night at the Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City at the Superstar Theater for Miss New Jersey 2019.

The 19-year-old has broken a string of South Jersey winners for five consecutive years and will represent the Garden State at the Miss America 2020 contest.

Glab, who participated in this year's competition as Miss Central Jersey Beaches, attended Brookdale Community College and received a scholarship of $ 16,000.

On the first night of the competition, Glab won the prize for her talent with her opera voice "O Mio Babbino Caro". According to her biography of Miss New Jersey, she won the title of "Karaoke Superstar," a contest on Royal Caribbean's Anthem and Oasis of the Seas.

During her year as Miss New Jersey, Glab will promote their Healthy Children, Strong America platform.

Before the winner was announced, Glab and first runner-up, Miss Atlantic Shores, Alyssa Sullivan, took center stage and held hands while the other participants stood behind them.

Cape May Court House's 23-year-old Sullivan won her stage interview the first night, but did not answer her euthanasia question on Saturday. Second was Miss Central Jersey Kyra Seeley, third was Miss Eastern Shores Natalie Ragazzo and fourth was Miss South Shore Jessica Indio.
