Two missing teenagers today are suspected of double murdering a US woman, her Australian boyfriend, and a third suspected British Columbia death, police said Tuesday.
Kam McLeod, 19, and Bryer Schmegelsky, 18, According to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, vehicles and campers were discovered in northern Saskatchewan after the authorities caught fire on Friday about 30 miles south of Dease Lake.
While investigating the fire, the police found the body of an unknown man a little over a mile away from the car. Dease Lake is approximately 500 km from where 23-year-old Australian Lucas Fowler and his 24-year-old American friend Chynna Deese were found dead a week before.
"Kam and Bryer are no longer considered missing," RCMP Sgt. Janelle Shoihet said. "The RCMP now consider Kam McLeod and Bryer Schmegelsky suspects of the suspected death in Dease Lake and the double murder of Lucas Fowler and Chynna Deese."
