BRIGHTON, Colorado (CBS4) – A toddler missing in the Denver area was found safe by the Brighton Police Department.  The 18-month-old girl is now with family members, the police said.
The Colorado Bureau of Investigation issued an Amber Alert early Sunday morning.
Madilynn Ronquillo was believed to be with her mother. year old woman named Brittany Claudine Martinez. Martinez Comes from Rio Rancho, New Mexico
The two were last suspected in the Denver area. The Brighton Police introduced the request for the Amber Alert to the CBI.
"Martinez is not a suspect in any crime," wrote Brad Bradley Bradley in a press release, "but he has left messages to relatives who point out that she is emotionally distraught and worried about their child's safety."
Following the abduction and murder of nine-year-old Amber Hagerman of Arlington, Texas, the AMBER Alert Legislation initiative began. Hagerman was pulled off her bike and abducted by a man in a pickup truck from her neighborhood. Her body was found four days later in a ditch four miles from the scene. Her murder is not solved yet.
