Police received a phone call on Tuesday morning from someone who claimed to have seen a 13-year-old Wisconsin girl whose parents were found murdered in their home in Wisconsin.
The caller told the police a young girl. Foot, 100-pound Jayme Closs was seen between 2 and 3 pm Monday at a Sunflex gas station on the corner of Northwest 27th Avenue and 11th Street. The caller said she was accompanied by two well-dressed men with beards weighing between 200 and 250 pounds.
On Tuesday morning, the Miami police had not confirmed any of the information. The caller said the men would drive a black Ford Explorer with a Wisconsin license plate.
An Amber Alert was issued to Jayme after Barron County sheriff's deputy received an emergency call on Monday saying something was wrong with the family. If it was Jayme that was discovered, it is unclear how she came to Miami so quickly, or if she was here at the time of her parents' murder.
Police said she believed Jayme had been in the house at the time of the killings.
During the call to the police, CNN reported that someone in the background could call for help. The caller contacted the police directly and Baron County Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald told the network police who had made the call.
