Eric Greitens, the embattled Republican Missouri governor, who faces a sexual abuse scandal and allegations of abuse of a charitable donor list, said on Tuesday he would resign this week.
Greitens had previously said he would not give up his post despite the allegations against him. He was suspended from possible impeachment.
The 44-year-old legislator was accused of taking and transmitting a non-consensual – partially naked – photograph of a woman with whom he had an affair.
