Mobvoi announced today at an event in London, another extension of its smartwatch series: the TicWatch C2 (Classic 2). The $ 200 watch runs on Wear OS and comes with NFC support for Google Pay. It comes in rose gold, black and platinum colors. (The rose gold version is slightly thinner for smaller wrists.) The watch is now available for pre-order and will be released on December 6th.
The C2 is the sequel to Mobvoi's original TicWatch 2, which first appeared on Kickstarter. Mobvoi's first watches ran on their own Android-based operating system and their own software for language assistants, before the company switched to the Wear OS platform. The updated C2 also has a longer battery life of about two days and a water resistance of IP68.
The design of the C2 is much slimmer than the company's last smartwatch, the dual-screen TicWatch Pro, with its sleek stainless steel watch fronts and leather straps. It's powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 21
Mobvoi announced today that its AirPods clone, TicPods Free, is now available online. The earphones collected more than $ 2.8 million on Indiegogo last year and are now being sold for $ 129.99 in white, blue and red colors. They are compatible with Alexa, Google Assistant and Siri as well as Android and iPhone. Battery life is about 18 hours, and a 15-minute charge will give you about 85 minutes of listening time.
