In the game’s infamous fourth mission, the player takes part in a gruesome airport massacre that either kills civilians or simply watches as the terrorists do next to them. The revised version appears to be essentially unchanged from the original. In the original German and Japanese versions of the game, the player automatically received an end when he killed one of the civilians. It is unclear whether these regional differences will still exist.
A remaster of the first Modern Warfare was originally released in 2016 as exclusive to those who bought the special edition of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. An independent version was only released the following year.
