Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will have an exhausting and difficult campaign, but not much is known about the other two known game modes, traditional multiplayer mode and the new co-op mode

What we do know, however, is that Modern Warfare will have a unified system of progress and a greater number of players.

Modern Warfare Progression System

This latest title will have a unified system of progress, which means one Form of progress in each game mode directly affects another.

This was confirmed by Activision in a blog post that states: "Beyond Expecting You in an immersive single-player campaign, a unified narrative experience and progress across the whole game, including a single-player campaign, online multiplayer, and co-op experiences.

This attempt by Activision seeks to make the game feel that the game has a chained-up gameplay narrative rather than feeling like a typical call of duty game with three distinct game modes.

In addition, the developers gave an example of weapon progress. They said weapons could be upgraded during the campaign. This level is then mirrored in multiplayer mode and vice versa. Or you can upgrade the weapons in multiplayer mode, which directly reflects the co-op or campaign.

In addition, the blog post suggested that there would also be a unified narrative experience. This could mean that some story aspects of the campaign go into co-op or multiplayer mode. The easiest way to accomplish this is to play cards from the campaign in multiplayer mode.

Increased number of multiplayer players

Modern Warfare has a larger number of players. This may indicate that public multiplayer lobbies for certain game modes exceed the number of standard players from previous titles.

Earlier, the multiplayer mode usually allowed 5 against 5/6 against 6 for public matches and 5 against 5/4 against 4 for competitive Call of Duty. However, we saw huge 10-on-10 lobbies for multiplayer.

Especially with the new cross game we all hope that these lobbies could be a possibility.

Infinity Ward may introduce some brand new game modes to accommodate this lobby size.
