Earlier this year, we learned that Motorola will bring back its legendary RAZR handset as an expensive smartphone with a vertically folding screen. In February, the company confirmed that it is working on a collapsible phone for this year. Now CNET reports that the company has sent invitations for a November 13 event highlighting the unmistakable silhouette of a classic RAZR V3 as part of an animated teaser image.
While it's hard to say it looks like the RAZR hinge is being pulled away from the edge of the handset to expose another type of hinge underneath it – perhaps to better accommodate a real foldable display like Samsung's Galaxy Fold.
Motorola seems to be I have several slogans for the event, but all are strongly suggestive of the foldable RAZR. The invitation contains the phrase "you will tip over" and the event will apparently be the "eagerly awaited revelation of a newly invented icon" according to CNET .
We may already know what this phone seems to be courtesy of these leaked images of Weibo.
