World-famous pop – yeah, that's what we call it here in Michigan – Riese Mountain Dew hopes to remedy angry inhabitants of Michigan after mistaking the Upper Peninsula as part of Wisconsin in some of the latest marketing materials.
During a Twitter exchange on Wednesday night, the company announced to @UpperPeninsula that it was a special edition label for the U.P. as part of an apology for the mishap.
Mountain Dew asked the account to help them tell all the things that make up the United States of America. So great. Immediately, people started making their own suggestions, including pies, Pictured Rocks, Tahquamenon Falls, the Mackinac Bridge, Soo Locks, and, of course, Yoopers.
The answer came after the UP-Twitter account forced the company to create a label specifically for the Upper Peninsula.
The error spread on Tuesday on the Internet after it was noted in a video and some pictures of marketing materials related to the pop company's latest promotion card when they collect the bottles of all 50 states.
After collecting the bottles, participants must enter a code on the bottle cap and scan a picture of the bottle. When pictures have been submitted, the company will send them a $ 1
Mountain Dew has not said if there is a price related to the U.P. will give. Label, whether it will be part of the competition or whether it will be released to the public. Still, it will be interesting to see how people react to the Special Edition label once it's made.
