Hello! Due to maintenance issues, the MoviePass services were temporarily suspended. Once we have resolved these technical issues, the service will be available again. We estimate that this process will take several weeks. Thank you for your patience.

MoviePass indicates that customers are credited with the number of days the service is unavailable, and no new subscribers are registered. "There is never a good time to do that," said CEO Mitch Lowe. "But to complete the enhanced version of our app, which we believe will provide our subscribers with a much better experience, it needs to be done."
Movie ticket subscription services are clearly a challenge. This spring, MoviePass competitor Sinemia was closed shortly after customers said their accounts were mistakenly dissolved. MoviePass has experimented with new plans, offering its original unlimited $ 9.95 plan, free movie tickets in return for watching commercials and more. It's hard to say if the benefits of improving the app outweigh the headache of interrupting the service.
